Thriving in the Entrepreneurial Journey: What are the 3 P's you Need?

The entrepreneurial journey is an exciting yet demanding path filled with opportunities, risks, and uncertainties. It requires more than just a great idea- it takes faith, resilience, and unwavering determination to turn dreams into reality.

Along the way, entrepreneurs face challenges such as financial challenges, self-doubt, market competition, many sleepless nights for market research and skills development, a lot of learning curves to take, and unexpected setbacks.

However, those who stay committed, trust God’s guidance, and remain passionate about their purpose can overcome obstacles and thrive. Success in business isn’t just about strategy - it’s about having the right mindset, fueled by prayer, passion, and perseverance.

In 2007, my mindset shifted into embarking myself into entrepreneurial journey even if I wasn’t sure about it. I did not know how to start and what was my starting point. But I did it anyway! Many setbacks happened, but my heart’s desire to keep going on this journey didn’t go. I always believe God has called me to take this path. Thus, building a successful business requires more than just skills and strategies - it demands faith, purpose, and resilience.

Faith keeps you anchored when uncertainty arises, allowing you to trust in God’s guidance, even when the path isn’t clear. As Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” There is uncertainty in any kind of business, but faith can keep you going on what you believe God has called you to do. However, your faith requires action; indeed, it is a dead faith without action (James 2:20). This is where your action to do research, skills development, personal growth courses or trainings takes place.

Purpose fuels your passion, giving you the motivation to keep going because your work serves a greater mission than just making money.

Resilience is what sustains you through setbacks, helping you rise after failures and push forward despite challenges. When these three elements are at the core of your entrepreneurial journey, success becomes more than just financial gain- it becomes a fulfilling and meaningful pursuit.

Money can not measure your success in your journey, but most importantly the experiences you gain along the journey and how much you grow in your learning process., but most importantly, the experiences you gain along the journey and how much you grow in your learning process. I always believe the key pillars for thriving as an entrepreneur based on my personal journey are- Prayer, Passion, and Perseverance.

1. Prayer - seeking God’s divine guidance and wisdom in everything that you do is so vital, whether in your business pursuit or personal well-being. Why is prayer matters in business? It is because it aligns your vision with God’s purpose. No matter what journey we’ll take, there’s always uncertainties, but through prayers we can trust God in uncertainty. Surrendering all our fears, decisions, and plans to Him.

   
   

   Have you ever prayed before, during, and after work? It is so important to pray all the time, no matter what it is you are doing. We can practically pray over our work, clients, and opportunities. We can integrate encouraging Scriptures on wisdom, provision, and success.

   
   “For the lord giveth wisdom: Out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God,that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not: and it shall be given him.” James 1:5

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. “ Philippians 4:19

2. Passion - is the driving force. Loving what you do is essential for long-term success. Passion keeps you going no matter what are the circumstances because you enjoy and love what you do. You believe there is always a purpose in everything that you do. Thus, aligning your passion with purpose in your business serve others with impact. Challenges can overcome with your passion, and recognizing that it is align God’s purpose.

“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;” Romans 12:11

3. Perseverance- the reality of entrepreneurship are facing rejection, failures, and obstacles. But trusting God’s timing and pressing forward despite difficulties will make you thrive.By doing so, you can develop a resilient mindset which strategize you to stay motivated, disciplined, and focused.

   “My brethren, count it all joy,when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience (perseverance). But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:2-4

The journey of entrepreneurship is not just about business success—it’s about walking in faith, pursuing your purpose with passion, and persevering through challenges. Prayer keeps you connected to God’s wisdom and guidance, passion fuels your drive to keep going, and perseverance strengthens you to overcome setbacks. When you build your business on these three pillars, you create something that is not only successful but also deeply meaningful and impactful.
